Just as suburbs around Atlanta are growing at a rapid pace, the job market is right beside them! The latest news is that of Adidas opening a production site, called SPEEDFACTORY, in 2017 in Woodstock, which will also create about 160 new jobs. It has also been confirmed that the facility will open just east of I-75 along Highway 92.
According to Governor Nathan Deal, “Georgia offers industry leaders such as adidas the necessary resources to compete worldwide. Our state is emerging as a sports corridor for Southeastern U.S., and our business-friendly climate will be a match for adidas’ new operation. We look forward to working with our partners in Cherokee County and the Metro Atlanta Chamber to support adidas in future growth.”
Adidas seems to very excited about the news as well, adding that they are thrilled to see the leading footwear brand will increase its current Atlanta workforce with the creation of 160 new jobs.” The 74,000 square foot facility is set up open in 2017, so be on the lookout for more news!
