Dacula Real Estate Home Of Georgia’s Innovation Crescent

The City of Dacula (properly pronounced “duh-KYOO-luh”), is located in Gwinnett County GA and has a total area of 2.9 square miles of which all is land. The city was once home to a train station on a CSX line through Northeast Georgia, although the station closed back in the mid-1950s. As of 2010 Dacula had a population of 4,442.

Dacula was originally inhabited by Native Americans at a place called Chinquapin Grove, where Dacula Elementary now stands. Its unusual name stems from two cities near it–Decatur and Atlanta. Dacula was officially incorporated into Georgia as a city in 1905.

This City still holds that small town feel and it is easy to feel at home here. At only a few miles from Buford, it is convenient to visit Mall of Georgia in Buford, or take a trip to Lake Lanier Islands and play at the waterpark and beach.
